Not a lot really

I'm in Chang Mai not Rai but for some reason this silly thing won't let me select it??! so i've had quite a funny couple of hours, sort of, i got the sleeper train from Ayuttaya to Chang Mai last nite and got in at 7.30am, the train was surprisingly easy to sleep on which was weird! and only a tenner for the 12 hours and bed! then went to Gap's, a really nice hostel recommended by Ting (one of the richies) and when i get there this little weirdo man is really abrupt and rude to me and saying - i think - that cuz they don't do reservations and don't know when people will check out he won't know if there is a room until midday, points at a chair and shuffles off. so i sit there for a bit trying to work out what to do and stuff and thinking sitting on the chair for 4 hours is a ridiculous prospect so i leave, and as i'm leaving their labrador who is about 8 months and really playful decides he wants to wrestle my bag and jump all over the shop, then when he is done with the bag he decides he wants to jump all over me, covering me in the mud and stuff and i'm in some random alley trying to find a tuk-tuk and it is torrential rain, so i think ok i'll try to sound angry and make up some thai words but he just thinks it is even more fun when i do this and bounds over and whacks me onto my arse and i'm just sat there in a big puddle!! great! then i get to a new hostel eventually when i'm saved by a passing german and it is a weird hotel/hostel with a swimming pool where i think people come to die, so i'm going to check out tomoro and go somewhere more lively with any luck! AND i just got an email from Ting sent yesterday saying he could sort out a room for me at Gap's as an exception to the no-booking rule!!! damnit!!

it is torrential rain, like you've never seen before, so i'm at a bit of a loss as what to do today, was going to go walking and exploring but can't really and already had a massage, don't know if i can go for another in a day?? i'll be like stretch armstrong soon, all bendy and stuff!

had a rubbish-ish couple of days before here, ayuttaya or however it is spelt was ok but a bit dull, the wats were incredible but after a while they just get a bit boring to be honest, i walked for hours and hours yesterday and then got burnt on my hairline and it feels like an orange??! maybe it is going to blister? weird i got burnt considering it was mainly raining! and then on wed nite i had just finished my dinner and was about to leave for a different bar, and was also just thinking what a bunch of total idiots were on the next table, and in particular how i'd like to kill one of the girls, when the thai member of the group being lovely and all invites me to sit with them and i had no excuse not to!! so i got stuck there for 2 hours, they teach english there and were so irritating it was untrue, one of them was ok but it was so hard to talk to him cuz his glasses were so thick they took up his entire face and made his eyes look in different directions! then there were 2 aussies who lectured me on australian politics for an hour! it was actually quite interesting but i just wasn't up for it at all!

awww and on the train from bangkok the other day some middle-age thai lady was trying to talk to me and it was quite difficult but we got on ok and then she insisted on giving me her mobile number for some reason, i really don't know why cuz even with massive hand gestures and face-pulling communication was constrained, but it was quite cute of her! and she tried to carry my bag off the train although it was the entire size of her!!! haha!

i suppose i'm just rambling to avoid the rain although i have perfected the drowned rat look, i'll go buy an umbrella and get going,
