Lakawon Island

Lakawon Island is in Cadiz City, one hour and a half away from Bacolod City. This sand bar is the usual weekend getaway for most who belong in the younger generation because the budget requirement to Lakawon is cheap:

Bus from Bacolod to Cadiz - around 60pesos

20-minute boat ride from mainland Negros - 100pesos/head

Entrance fee to the Island - 50pesos/head

Picnic table with shade - 1000/day

Food - 80/meal on average

Accommodations 1500/night w/o aircon, 2400/night w/ aircon 5 -10 pax

The beach is a 200 meter stretch of white sand facing South. Waters are calm.
