its not that bad

Text written in: English

From Syria we got a 24 hr visa (this being all we could get) and went into Lebanon - Beirut. We got a guided tour which was interesting. Looked through the Ballbeck ruins ( gee so many ruins around Europe) was approached to buy Hezbollah t-shirts.

Through Beirut we were shown many buildings which were stripped with bullet holes this being from the civil war (1975-1990) also the house where the president Rene Muawad was assassinated in still in ruins. Through our day trip we didn't see Lebanon which was bombed by Israel.

All in all it was kind of surreal as it seemed like nothing had happened only 9 months ago. Everyone was friendly and doing what they do, however our tour guide said there's still a lot of tension within.

Also got my so called beard a precision cut at the Barber.
