Park Life
Text written in: English
So another early start to meet James and Jackie as we agreed to meet up in Times square. I woke Jack up but he wasn't feeling very well but he showed me how to get to time square. When we went down into the subway the station was pretty busy and the train took ages to arrive. I have never been so packed in my life there were way too many people on the tub but i did think that if we crashed i would have a great buffer. So we got to time square on time an were yet again attacked by tour touts on the way to meet the others. We went to McDonalds for Breakfast (ewww).
James was also feeling under the weather so they went back home. Mia an I as we were in time square took the oppertunity to go into Toys R Us....it's MASSIVE!!!! There's a 60 foot high big wheel inside!!! We also went into Bubba Gump and the Hardrock shop. I needed the loo so I we went into the M & M shop as they have clean ones, we also got lots of chocolate. Then we decided to go to the zoo in central park. So we walked all the way up Broadway to the corner and through into the park. We went down to watch people falling over on the ice rink and then wandered around trying to find the zoo. Now after a short time it was beginning to dawn on me that there are less dogs without coats than dogs with them. There was one little white dog with a pink coat and its owner had dyed its ears and the end of its tail pink.
So we wandered around the park for a few hours until we got to the rambling tracks. Now I don't know if it was a good idea to take out the M & M's at this point but as soon as I did I was surrounded by birds and squirrels who I'm sure were all evil and planning cunning plans to steal my food. So I turned tail ans fled back to the frozen lake where I found the mad hatter and his tea party. After this we asked a ice park worker how to get to the zoo. It turns out we had come to far and we wandered back to the place we should have been.
The zoo was small but good, There was a tropical bird bit and penguins and seals. It was alright.
We then set off down 5th Avenue on the way to union square but got side tracked by the disney store which was massive and had a huge pirates of the carribean theme going on. Then the next stop was Grand central Station which was good in an building type of way but it seemed differenet to what was in the untouchables.
Then it was back to Ma& Pa's flat before we went out for italian food in a small but nice family place with good meals and back to the flat.
