4 am its dark its cold and we decide to wander out in search of a volcano, we had been told just to follow the posts to the stairs and walk up to them and watch the sun rise simple no?
no...... we thinking this is all great fun wander out with our torch thanking the common sense that made us keep our thermals. shaking our heads at the numerous mountain men offering the services of their horses we wandered on into the dark.
one problem the posts ran out and we was left in the middle of the sandy sea with no clue as to where to go, we talked to some guides and they pointed us in a vague direction of some hill so we wandered in that direction, keith was convinced that we should be going up a really steep hill but i kindly pointed out that in no uncertain terms was i walking up there in the dark. i had spotted a nicer looking climb and i was going that way, thankfully we seen some lights up ahead and finally found our way we had reached the steps. keith began climbing them i got half way and almost gave up (i have a very bad cold) but we soldiered on together and made it to the rim of the volcano just in time to get a nice spot to watch the sun rise, it was beautiful totally breath taking and really worth it. we stayed for a while until the sun had got right up and then we wanderd back hungry but happy
we are back into our groove again with traveling, im much better now most of my illnesses have subsided and we have found a practically deserted beach to ourselves, im writing to you from a lovly warm internet shop with keith in the background strumming some tunes on a guitar he has found. life is bliss.
love to everyone
kim and a very happy keith
