breathe dont forget to breathe !
this sounds so easy when your above water with all the air in the world to suck up but when your under water its quite difficult especially when you cant even snorkle like me, but hey if its not dangerous then its not worth doing is it??
keith on the other hand took to it like a fish for want of a better word, and he was swimming around from the word go. our instructor was brilliant he took extra special care of me because i was terrifid at the start and made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole process. it only took us 3 days to be fully qualified and we now have our diving licence so we can go dive in other places.
we dived in a pool for the first day then straight out into open water for the next two days ( we did 4 sea dives in all) keith was spotting animals left right and center he even seen a sea snake! i was unaware of anything except breathing but on the last day we dived a ship wreck from ww2 it was probably the most amazing thing you can do underwater. we was surrounded by rainbows of fish and coral and not once did i feel like my life was in danger. we didnt take any pictures unfortunatly but we will be investing in an underwater camera for our next dive.
oh i forgot! we went to a monkey sanctury/ holy place in ubud and we was surrounded by mcaques, (for those who dont know - think medium size baboon like monkey) the teenage ones would come up to you and jump on you, they had a real fascination with my hair, keith was in his element yet again i couldve left him there the whole day. i was a bit wary of the big ones though cos they had HUGE teeth oh and the females all had little furry babie ones was very sweet.
right off to java tomorw we need to get on the road quick here loads to do so little time.
love to all
kim and keith
