ahh sydney we love you.
after a rather cold start to the day in christchurch we ended up in sydney for a few hours so we decided to pop out and see what we could do, and thanks to the metro we managed to do loads in the time we had.
firstly we went to a really nice cafe and had a huge brekky and was treated like family, then feeling refreshed we hopped on the double decker trains to the harbour bridge / opera house. now they are some impressive bits of architecture. the opera house strangely looks bigger the further you are away from it and now i know its three buildings not one as it looks. after spending a few moments looking in awe we decided to hunt down some wildlife.
we decided the best place seeing as we was so far from aussy zoo would be the reptile zoo on the harbour and it was well worth it because i finally got to look a koala in the face (well actually its bum but never mind) and they had most of the strange creepys that oz is famous for so was well worth the splurge.
after this we wandered through the botanical gardens and then back onto the plane.
i think this is only the start of our love affair with oz.
love to all
kim and keith
