The cold cold shores of lake titicaca

Text written in: English

3 months into our journey and we finally reach lake titicaca, next step bolivia land of really cheap hotels and ive heard a rumor about salt and vinegar crisps.

puno is just your average peruvian city but has an added bonus of being able to eat lunch for 2 soles (in euros thats 50cent and its almost half that again for pound) not bad really.

lake titicaca pronounced titichacha (mucho emphasis on the ha) is something else though, it has some wonderful bird life ducks and coots ( coots are all over the world me thinks) etc. and the villagers have gone one better than a cranog and have built whole villages on reed beds. we traveled in one of their reed boats and get fed some local delicasies of reed root, i thought it was ok keith wasnt so keen it being more veg than meat.

off to bolivia bright and early tomorw (lets hope border control are more forgiving about keiths passport than the peruvian ones)

love to all

kim and keith

p.s sorry if we havnt called in ages computers over here dont always work
