No one expects the Spanish Inquisition

lima apparently is dangerous and dirty, we on the other hand found it to be a beautiful city with enough police around to make you feel sufficiently comfortable (in a belfast sort of way).

after paying an extortionate amount to get from the airport to our hotel, we decided to visit the spanish inqusition museum, it was enlightening yet mildly gruesom but nothing compared to downstairs at tussauds.

oh i must mention our hotel, it the hotel españa, it was quirky with a zillion statutes dotted around ( apparently one of the residents is a demented staute maker) and fake works of art like the mona lisa and such. also on our floor lived a myriad of animals wandering around including 3 20yr old tortoises ready to nip your toes if your not too careful.

we have decided to get a bit of a move on now seeing as we are nearing the half way mark so only a few days in each place, theres tonnes we have to do down the south of peru.
