its time we left this popsicle stand

after a non eventful time through loja we ended up in the small hippy settlement of vilcabamba. we was going the do some sightseeing and hopefully some horse riding again............... oh how wrong we were. after locating a man who seemed to be up for the challenge altho a bit worse for wear we booked our trip, it was a 3 day trip with all the trimmings at the princely sum of $110 dollars each , thankfully we never handed any money over. we had just to wait the two days for the man to get his stuff together and we was off. then it all went pear shaped, the man turned oput to be a narsissistic drunk with more baggage than a camel and he didnt sober up for two days so on the day before we was supposed to leave after trying to find him we made our escape from town, knowing that talking to a drunk would be impossible we gave him back his copy of his life history (yes he was that vain) and booked the next bus to peru. i would love to say that vilcabamba is the quiant little town that everyone says it is but it isnt its just a load of washed up hippys trying to make a quick buck, oh and the name of the new zealand fella Gavin Moore so all u travelers beware!
