My aunt and uncle had to attend a presentation, so I was off to San Fran by myself!
So, that was where I joined in the walk.... the cause is something dear to me. I am Pro-Life. It was wonderful to walk in the march for something I deeply care about. The next set of pictures are taken amongst the marchers seen earlier. We walked quite a ways, down to the Marina area. I have pictures of the park nearby and the Marina, plus a closer view of the Golden Gate.
Then, I went exploring.
I walked up Fillmore to find a bus, and took the 30 - I guess that is what it is... I dunno. I got to Bay and Francisco by way of the 30, and stopped off to go find the famous trolley car. I really wanted to ride one of those things. And, no, I did not sing the Rice-O-Roni theme song. But that was a bit later...
First, I got actually kinda lost trying to find the trolley, so I went off to find Lombard (the curviest street in the world).
In the midst of walking toward the curvy street, I happened upon this CUTE little park fenced and sandwiched between buildings, so I jumped on the rocks and took a picture... see if you can guess which one it is!
After a few times of trial-and-error, I found my way to Lombard, and took a few pics. Then I walked down Lombard and found my way to the San Francisco Art Institute! I HAD to go inside. It wasn't quite a museum, but it looked really fascinating to this particular wannabe art-student-for-life. They were having a porfolio review and art school recruitment session. Luckily I didn't get asked too many questions, as I wandered the halls. Rather cool place! Maybe if I win the lottery I will go to school there....
I found a few other streets where I took some great pictures... so the majority of this set will be random architecture and stuffage... enjoy!!!
