Down the Mekong on a Slow boat

Text written in: English

A whole day chugging down a river on a slow old boat sounds pretty dull but is one of the best days had yet. Gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and loads of sound fellow boat peeps to enjoy the ride with.

Drank the boat dry of all its alcohol - Beerlao (only beer in comunist state, thank god its damn good) with a group of Aussie gals and a sound fella called Paul from the infamous Leeds metropolitan massive.

Whilst attempting a stylish photo, leaning on a gate ont side of the boat which gave way, a Canadian fella fell overboard (to our raucus cheers *thought it was someones bag) SPLOOSH. a local fisherman saved him, when he got back on board he still had the gate and his pissed off wife's knackered camera in tow.

Arrived dead late into Luang Prabang ready for the joys of a new country...
