the last stop after a bufet lunch was Ollantaytambo ... another Inka ruin which didn´t miss to impress us another time. The most incredible thing about the constructions are the fine, detailed works and the unaccesible terrains on which they were building. In Ollantaytambo for example they carried rocks of a size of 2x2x5 over two passes (4km) just to have better material to build their houses and temples ... don´t ask me how they did it. The city itself is a junction for travelers going and coming from Aguas Calientes and therefore you can feel the "tourist spirit" everywhere. Whatever one could need, it´s going to be offered on the street. Whether these are bottles of water or the exquisitely important water holder ... you´ll get it. we didn´t buy anything more than beer to bridge the gap between the last visit of the ruins and our train to Aguas Calientes.
