why i hate buses, well that's not that hard to explain ... listen to the following:

well, i got up at 4.30 two days ago to catch the remise i called the day before ... to be sure to get the bus at 6 at the terminal ... but there was no taxi at 5, so i was just a little bit lucky with catching a bus which took be directly to the terminal then ... that was just luck ;) - my start of the day.

in an uncomfortable 4 hours lasting bus ride (and i AM used to buses normally) the bus took me to Puente del Inca, which is a naturally created bridge and under it's shelter the inca nation created a community and some houses, which still can be seen - really nice to watch ... but wouldn't have been worse to stay there for 6 more hours. Therefore i decided to go for a walk in direction of the Aconcagua natural park to see how it could be to hike up there. I did a all in all 3 hours hike up too a bridge where you weren't allowed to hike further anymore without a ticket, so i turned - especially because i wanted to catch my bus at 4:20.

I was in the city again at about 3 - just to make sure i'll catch my bus :) - waited at a hostel, with a nice owner until 4 and went to the bus stop afterwards. I waited there for about 2 hours until i finally realized that there won't a bus anymore. Therefore i called at the office in Mendoza, which told me that at the time of my ticket there was never a bus going from Mendoza to Santiago ... cool ha ;) - so i hiked up to the border to check out, whether i should get further or not, but realized that it was too late to do anything. A bus driver of "el rapido" told me that i should wait for the bus in the morning the next day at 09:30 am ... that's what i did. I camped in Puente del Inca and waited.
To make sure not to miss the bus i waited already at 8.45 at the busstop and truely the bus arrived at about 09.50 am, BUT it didn't stop - it just passed me straight away - cool ha.
Therefore i hiked to the border again, but it was only Argentinean customs as i realized and they told me that the bus would stop at the Chilean border for about an hour ... so i hitched to the border, but as i arrived there (25 km further) the bus was obviously gone. Therefore i got a Visa as a tramper ... more like a person who passes in the middle of nowhere walking ... they looked at me quite strange at the customs :) - no wonder as the next village in Argentina is 25 km away and in Chile even more.
As i was fed up with waiting for buses i asked a guy in an Unimog (with the lettres of Alemania on it's front) whether he could take me in direction of Santiago. He told me he could take me to Valparaiso and offered me accomodation in his hostel (in Laguna Verde) - therefore i decided to skip Santiago for the moment and went with the guy to Valparaiso ... didn't want to have more problems anymore for the moment :) - after a scenic five hour ride in this huge vehicle - riding up mountains with about 10 km/h - we arrived in Laguna Verde, which is a small village of about 500 inhabitants, where this guy just overtook a hostel and was in the beginning of restaurating it ... really nicely situated ... beach, much space ...
we spent the evening ... all the guests of the hostel and the owners ... infront of the fireplace .... until six ... having some beer and chatting a lot :)
now i'm sitting in valparaiso and need to make my first ride up the mountain with this old escalators ...
