The skeleton coast

Text written in: English

We spent two nights and two days in Swakopmund, a lovely town caught between the Atlantic ocean at its front door and the Namib desert directly in its back yard! This set-up makes for a very pleasant weather, with sun but a cool temperature.

Whales, seals, turtles and flamingoes can be seen alive in this harsh environment...and they can also be spotted dead on the beach...wich makes for a perfect meal for the brown hyenas coming from the desert to feed on them.

We went up a tower in town to have a better view of the sea and the desert surrounding this town, and the result is quite surprising: see for yourself below!
