We rise at 6 somehow, have breakfast and then jump in inflatable rafts and cruise down the Mae Klong river. The river is down quite low because it is the middle summer, so it is a very leisurely float down stream.
We play in waterfalls along the way and strain our necks looking up a the lime stone walls tower above us on one side and peer in to the jungle passing us on the other. We see Iguanas, Tortoises sun bathing and snakes hanging from trees.
One of the porters shoots a snake aout of a tree with a slingshot and then kills and bags it. Much to the horror of the Dutchies.
I stand on a big old thorn at lunch. Moses our guide has to cut this out of my foot with a knife and a sharp twig. The day is turning very 'tour of duty'. I stag of solo in the bushes after having a pee to consolidate this feeling. Test my metal and see if I can see Charlie before he sees me.
After lunch we bath in some hotsprings in the jungle.
We pull our raft up around 3:30 and then hike over the hills to the valley where Tilosu Waterfall is.
At Tilosu we make camp and then go off to wash in the river. We are all hot and dirty. The water is freezing and little fish bite our legs. It is too cold for me to get in completely.
We have coffee and some rice and vegetables for dinner and some fruit Moses found along the way.
We sleep in tents under the trees.
