Truth be told, Ranakpur wasn't anything of note for me. The hotel we were at had these neat tent-rooms, so it was beautiful....but I never really left it. I'd been sick in Udaipur the morning before we got there (it was a short drive), and we left the next day at breakfast. Matt went for a walk with Raju and took some amazing photos, and I watched Penn and Teller's BULLSHIT! on my laptop (The Holier Than Thou episode was exactly what the doctor ordered, hilariously it was about Mother Teresea, Gandhi, and the Dalai Lama). There was a bonfire in the evening with some music and dancing. I was enticed out by the drumming, but scurried back into bed when I saw the ring of tourists sitting and watching without response. It just looked....weird.
So...I missed an aqueduct thing and some amzing Jain temples.
And Matt's new name is Mark (because I think he's targeted by touts and con artists. He's a mark.)
