Punta Rochas

Text written in: English

After a few days partying in Lima with our irish girls we had to say goodbye to them as they were heading to New Zealand,we had an absolute blast and heaps of mad,fun times travelling with the two of you. We packed up and jumped on a bus to a little surfing town 40kms south of lima called Punta Rochas. We walked around the dirt roads looking for a beach house we'd heard about, eventually we found it and were welcomed in. The people who ran the place were absolute jets, Berto took us into lima and helped us to find wetsuits and boards and before you knew it we looked like the peruvian surf team, except our gringo mugs of course. And were out in the surf finally back in the water. It was pure gold after being inland and travelling at a frantic pace to be sitting out the back, only the 3 of us out, watching the sun set, as we say "pinch me, I'm dreaming". A really cruzy little place, a 5 minute walk to the best wave in the area and not many people surfing it, there was ridiculuos amounts of fish jumping around the line up and there was even the odd dolphins.
