Balboa Park and Tijuana

Text written in: Unknown

Balboa Park is located a little north to downtown San Diego. It is a huge park with sport courts, walking trails and roads crossing it. But the most important thing about it are the museums. There are something like 15 museums located in the park, and let's not forget about the world's largest zoo - the San Diego zoo, located on the northwestern side. I was lucky enough to be in the park on Tuesday, the free admission day. Not all of the museums are free on Tuesday, but some of them are. I went to the old cars museum, the hall of fame sport museum, the art museum and the botanical greenhouse: An old train station converted into a large space packed with flowers from all over the world. The park is very old and built in a spannish architecture. I tried to take some pics of the largest buildings to show their beauty.

Next day we went across the border to Tijuana, a mexican city that seems to be powered only by american tourists. Everywhere you see small stourists' shops and restaurants. You walk down the main street, passing all the shops, invited to take a look inside by every single seller. It was kinda nice, you just take the trolly for an hour drive and you're in a different world. A little appetizer for the next of my trip.
