Since Christmas is next week, Yesenia wanted to get the Christmas decorations up.  This is quite the ordeal since she builds a huge "world village" every year that takes up half the living room.  Each year, the configuration is different and unique.  This year, there will be a waterfall complete with running water.  It was such fun to get to help with this tradition this year.  Come back here shortly for pictures of the finished product!

Jeffry, Mark's childhood friend, came in for the holidays.  For entertainment, he offered the kids 2.5 sols to chew on a limon for 30 seconds.  You don't make that kind of offer to 7 and 8 year olds!  Of course, Raisha and Jeff took him up on it and their facial expressions show their agony with every chew.  It was pretty funny watching them!  Both made it and already had their money spent before Jeff could give it to them!

There was an farm machinery exposition at the fair grounds (where the bull fights were).  The kids got to pretend they were farmers for a little while!  This is about the first farm machinery I have seen in Peru.  I am not sure who actually buys it, 'cuz most of the work I have seen has all been done by hand!  They said these tractors went for $30-40,000.  A lot of money for Peru!
