So, in LA, I missed my Lan Peru flight to Lima!  Spent the afternoon running between United and Lan Peru trying to get new arrangements while dealing with all the CROWDS caused by the new security.  Lan Peru's flights were all full for the weekend, so I was told to return the next day to get on the standby list.  United, though, did a very unusual thing - they re-booked and re-routed me via LA to Chicago to Miami to Lima.  WOW!  BUT, my baggage got sent to Lan Peru in LA - not to be found for quite a while!

I didn't leave LA until 11:30 PM so went to the gate to settle in for the evening.  Ended up talking with a wonderful lady named Pat Goodeill from Oregon.  She had just finished a class on hypnosis in LA and was also delayed going home.  We had an interesting chat while passing the time.  She brought out her Voyager Tarot cards and we had fun pulling cards to answer questions about this journey.  It was very fun and very positive!  I really needed a few positive words by this time 'cuz I wasn't sure if I should be going.  She really helped lighten the mood and got me on my plane to Chicago. There are no coincidences.  Thanks, Pat!
