After a stressful few weeks of getting ready, packing, selling and storing stuff, seeing friends and family, Bill graciously and lovingly took me to the Denver airport. Of course, this was the day after the UK airline scare that sent the US into an orange alert, so the departure added additional thrills and challenges. Fortunately, I had a day notice so I was able to repack my bags. I ended up checking bags I would have carried on board which caused havoc later!
Everything went rather smoothly in Denver with all the new security, but that quickly changed after I sat down on the plane. We had a plane, but NO pilot. This delayed us an hour which caused me to be late into LA.
