Today for our first dive of the day we went to the beautiful inland sea of Dwejra. It's a small enclosed bay with a pirate flag and a bunch of fishermen that make up for the slow fishing during winter by taking bussloads of tourists for quick boat rides out thru a crack in the rock out to the open sea.
I was out swimming in the bay when somone decided to test my man skills by dearing me to swim out to sea thru the crack. I'm up for anything so I started swimming. About ten arm strokes into the swim I managed to find the ONE JELLYFISH that was swimming in the cold water. I now have a nasty sting on my arm - piccies attached.
Lunch was had at the dodgy cafe next to the boats going in and out to sea. I recommend eathing nothing there. I had the 'hamburger'. I then got stung and spent the rest of the lunch break meeting my flight response for the first time.
The second dive was at the Blue Hole. I think this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The diving is fantastic. You hop down the rocks and get into this beautiful azure hole which is a cave that has collapsed. You go down a few meters and can exit the cave at the bottom; then swim around a bit; go up some shafts; look at some kina; avoid jellyfish and get out. Piccies attached...
Later on that night we also did a night dive. It was dark; hence no piccies of that.
