Well we escaped the smog and pollution of Bangkok for a while, and arrived here in the middle of the rainforest, and believe you me it really is what you call rustic...................................... the bus ride down was on a town bus, what is commonly know as the chicken bus, and as usual when asking how long it will take 3 hours always ends up being 6 hours.......................................................................................

 

 The room we are staying in has no electricity, no hot water, and is hotter in the room than it is outside. However the surroundings are just exquisite, set on a river covered by jungle and exotic plants and every kind of living creature on the planet on our doorstep, how more tree hugging can you be?.  I have been having trouble loading up photos recently on this site, that is why you have just been getting my journals, but will keep trying as this has to be seen to be believed. I cannot imagine coming all the way to Thailand and missing out on the amazing scenery, and lanscapes, they are certainly worth it and so breathtaking. Yesterday we went around the national park, and kept having to gaze up in awe at the mountains, so pretty and so differrent from anything seen before....

After spending weeks with our Mums in sukkohthai, and seam Reap, gazing at temples and views you become a little desensitised to beauty, and stop being so impressed all the time, which is a little worrying. But then when you get home and look at your photos, you recall the amazing adventure and wish you were there all over again....

Next on the agenda is Koh Samui and ko Tao, two amazing islands on the gulf of Thailand, and we have managed to find some amazing cheap bargain deals because we are heading into low season. The place we will be at tomorrow looks incredible, a resort on the sea with picturesque air conditioned bungalows and a beautiful swimming pool........

Will try  my best to make the best of this portion of the trip as we are about to travel up north to Chaing Mai for a month, where there is no sea or sand or swimming pools, so bring on the island experience please.......................
