Arriving in Como, was nice as its a beautiful Italian city with very old streets and buildings situated on a maginificent lake - lake Como. We stayed at Hotel Marcos, as Nicky had kept the business card from Peta when Mark and her stayed there on their trip in 2000 or so. Well, apart from it being in a fantastic location, clean and very friendly, it was a step down from our palace and did'nt Dad feel it. For everyone else it was a welcome back to reality. Dad was quite getting used to the 5 star service he was accustomed to. Quote of the day, Steve telling dad "Well, You gotta take the good with the bad Pa."
