Back to my least favorite city in the world!

We got on a plane yesterday (10th)  from Puerto Maldonado in the jungle to Lima, with a stop over in Cuzco.  We had to get up at 0500 as it took as 3hrs to get to the airport.  Also at the airport we were just starting to hear what has been happening in the UK in relation to flights.  Despite this the security in Puerto Maldonado was a man briefly looking in your bag and that was it - no X ray etc!!  Quite amusing since now on my way home tomorrow to Atlanta, then London then Glasgow I will not be allowed any hand luggage!!

Just spending today wandering around Lima and packing everything for home.  Bit wary about putting my camera in my check in bag but I doubt I have any choice!!  My flight leaves Lima at 0005 in the morning to Atlanta, where I spend about 10hrs until 1755 when my flight takes off bound for Gatwick and then I think my flight to Glasgow leaves at 1020 -all things going to plan that is!!

It means I should be home by lunchtime on the 13th - woohoo.  It is about 35hrs of travelling, without any hand luggage and huge security - can't wait!!!!!

Anyway I have had a fantastic 6.5weeks out here, met loads of cool people (who I will really try to keep in touch with - honest!) and done and seen so many amazing things things which I doubt I will ever see again!  I will make another few entries in this journal along my journey home (probably in Atlanta where I will be totally bored!), but if not I hope everyone as really enjoyed keeping up to date with what I have been doing and looking at all the pictures.  Looking forward to seeing you all soon (ish in some cases!).
