We drove on some pretty amazing roads over the western part of the Black Mountains, across a high plateau full of scrubby grass and sheep, and down the other side and into the flatter coastal lands. Many of the roads on the Gower peninsula are so narrow - only one car at a time. At the end of the peninsula, we parked in the tiny town of Rhossili and walked out into the National Trust area called Worm's Head. The head itself is an island seperated from the mainland at high tide, and as we arrived the causeway was just visible for people to cross over, but we decided we had better head back instead.
