We drove around the M25 to Leeds Castle today, which isn't actually in the city Leeds, but near a small town called Leeds in Kent. It is quite impressive surrounded by a moat and has lovely gardens too, but the interior of the castle is quite strange as it was completely refurbished in the early 20th century by a rich American lady.
There's some other things in the grounds which are quite interesting, such as an aviary with tropical birds (including a cold-looking s-c cockatoo and some king parrots), plus the usual hedge-maze and for some strange reason, a dog-collar museum.
I'm not sure it was worth the £13.50 it cost to get in, especially since you have to fork out extra for audio guides and such.
