Exploring Belfast

Today is Saturday.  We're moved into our apartment, Randy is not working today, so we are off to explore Belfast.

We walked from the apartment to the City Centre, about 2 miles.  Did some shopping and then took the double decker bus tour of Belfast.

Saw the site where the Titanic was built, toured the historic downtown, and spent time driving through the areas of the "troubles", which refers to the two decades of violence in Belfast between the Catholics and the Protestants.  Although there is still ample evidence of the Troubles, 16 years later, Belfast is clearly rebuilding.
