Sunken City, Smugglers Inn & Fun Times!!

We woke about 7am and it was already warm so a dip in the water to cool off before breakfast was a good way to start the day. After breakfast we headed towards the bay where we would spend the night. Along the way near Simena we passed over a sunken city that dates back to ancient times. It was a protected site so you were not allowed to dive or stop there. It was amazing you could see the steps and parts of old buildings on the side of the cliffs. Below the water you were still meant to be able to see the city as it stood all those years ago, the streets, the buildings, etc… We arrived at Gokkaya Bay (where we would stay the night) and docked. Seems all we do is swim and eat…… about right!! Had lunch and then grabbed the lilo and spent the afternoon lazing on the lilo. I managed to lose my sunglasses after diving off the boat with them on my head!! Mid afternoon Captain Mojo brewed up a punch ready for the nights partying. A few glasses of that and things started to get a little crazy. We all got ready to head to Smugglers Inn, a bar on the island. We had the fish we caught for dinner and a few other tasty bits. By now most people we pretty rockin’, me being one of them. Lets just say I don’t remember a lot of the night so can’t really write much about it. A dingy picked us up from the boat and took us to shore. We caught up with the guys from the other boat and partied on….. I do remember getting a lift back to the boat with Aims, Jodes & Chloe. Aims was in the same sort of state as myself!! Wow, what a night!!
