My God......caos at Cuzco airport would be an understatement.  Our flight was suppose to leave at 12 noon and ended up taking off 5.30pm!  We were queuing for 2 hours without moving any closer to the check in counters.  It was insane.  They ended up having to get security in to stop people bribing their way onto flights!!  Then once we finally managed to get on a plane we were too heavy and they had to bribe people with $100US to get off and take another flight the following day.  Classic....then when no one moved they announced it would be $150US each to get off.

So we eventually made it to Lima again to meet up with the tour.  Lima is pretty poor city and they have had recent trouble with car jackings.  Rich and I practiced our Espanol on him on the way to the hotel.  He hid our bags under a big plastic thing in the boot  and took his TAXI sign off the top of his roof !!

9 million people living in Lima so some of the slum areas are pretty gross.  Awesome architecture in the city and we managed to wander around a big before heading off with the tour.
