have left peds for barely 3 hours and already I'm screwing up. but in all fairness, who knew india ran their flights like a bus company. I left bangalore for kolkata with a stop in chennai - this I knew. so we take of from chennai, fly for a couple hours, land, and I get off.

I'm at baggage watching everyone else grab bags until, like a bad nightmare, the thing is empty but still no backpack. sheeee-ite! did they put ped's tags on my bag? (we checked in at the same time). I'm askin the baggage dude what's up but he doen't speak much english. he points to a guy walking towards me with a walky-talky. ummm.....what could this mean? has my bag been munched? lost? redirected? worst?

ummmmm....well....turns out what is REALLY happening is I got off in the wrong town. (doh!) that tiny airport isn't just a satelite terminal of the kolkata airport, it's THE terminal. of some other town. that is NOT kolkata.

thank god they noticed and came to rescue me (HOW did they notice?). they sent me back thru security, I got felt up by 2 more female security guards, got back on and for the 3rd time today, took off to kolkata.

sheesh - who knew a cross country flight would stop 3 times along the way? (but that's still a pretty idiot move on my part. can you imagine if the plane took off without me?!)
