Pushkar was like heaven after Jaipur. a 4/5 hour journey through hot, sand dunes. the usual barrage when you get off the bus - cards for guest houses get thrust in your face and the rickshaws are old men pulling carts with you and your bags sitting on top. place I wanted to stay was full so stayed nearby and was OK. stayed 5 mins from main bazaar and after a shower I hit the streets and it was fab - people said hi and ok so there's still the usual you look in my shop business but not in the same way as Jaipur. had a mooch before heading down to the lake where everyone goes to watch the sunset which was fantastic. If Pushkar has one drawback its the shops - there are too many of them and if you know me well you know that I like to shop! Its also one of the cheapest places to shop in India (well that I've found) so I was loving it. I did buy a few things - not just for me - pressies too!
