Seems you can't wear a Boys and Girls Club t-shirt here without hearing suggestive comments about "where is this club?" and "how do I join?"
Udaipur is super purdy. The city is centered around a series of three lakes, the largest and most important being Lake Pichola (which name it was given after the village of Picholi was flooded to create it --ah, quaint). In the middle of Lake Pichola is the Lake Palace, which looks like a barge floating on the water. That is, it looks like a barge as long as there's water in the lake. When there's no water (which is mostly) it just looks kind of pitiful, so we've heard. Luckily for us (though perhaps not luckily for the poor bastards who had to suffer through it) the monsoon season was productive this year and the lake was full up to the brim and thus lovely and picturesque.
Our hotel is just off Lake Pichola, in an area called Lalghat. We can see the lake and the Palace from our window, as well as from the rooftop restaurant. Pretty! Too bad Nichole leaves tomorrow afternoon and I'm here by myself for a couple days.
