Leaving Moscow transit to Novosibirsk

Text written in: English

I was certainly a little sad to leave lena behind and I must say that she made my stay in moscow truly special.  It was like the culimination of at least  a couple of years of inernet penpalling. Lena is warm hearted, and it was interesting to meet her friends, her husband, her mother (briefly) and of course the skirmy belly that she was so busily carying around.

I spent some time trying to complete more of these journal entries of which I am still very far behind. After that it was a quick bus and metro ride to the Kazanskzy Vokzal. Moscow has 9 train stations and it was a matter of conjeture earlier in the week.  After about 1 hour of dicussion and looking at various sources of information we deciphered the abreviation on the ticket actually had a deep meaning. It was raining as I left moscow. I was loaded down with 2 liters of water and 2 days worth of food including an incredible chicken dinner that lena sent me off with. I was there one hour early and had at least 5 minutes of confusion.. My train was one for Novosibrisk, but the train board said Novokuzninsk (just try pronouncing that one like they do in Russia). The train number was correct and everything seemed in order so I said no worries and hopped on the train where I was to meet the venerable and slightly nationalistic Yuri, who spoke some english because he was an aviator. He along with 4 beautiful beauty queens (read self absorbed russian woman, with baked tanned skin, liberal amounts of makeup, and a propensity for being scantilz clad) were to be my companions for the 52 hour train journey to Novosibersk
