Well, we experienced a few glitches here and there but so far arrived Cordoba in one piece, safely. Will update more in detail once we got home as I could not upload my pix easily using the local terminal. All of my images are high resolution and takes too much time to upload. I cannot make it smaller with a local internet terminal as I don't want to change their setting (need to change MS config.). I need my images to be in high resolution so that I can edit or enlarge later. If you want to see Argentina, Iguassu or Cordoba, you need to go their website for now, sorry.
Anyway, it is simmer here and hot hot hot under the glaring sun. How about your weather?
Iguassu was fantastic place to visit, Colonia was OK but you can skip it if your schedule is tight, Cordoba is another place you might enjoy but we are still explaoring it. We did Cordoba city tour the day we arrived and it was started after 5 PM! The following day, we visited three estancias. Both places, Iguassu and Cordoba, we were provided with a private car (driver and guide) for sight seeing. Nice arrangement done via College Travel. If there was no wildcat strike by Argentina Airline, then we wouln't experience terrible mishaps.
Because of the strike we were forced to take a 18 hrs bus ride. Remember, Argentina is a big country, just like Canada. The 18 hrs was from Iguassu to Buenos Aires. It was a sleeper bus, we never experienced such travel. So once in our life time, we decided to have fun of it. I will show you what bus seeting looks like later. It has complete reclining seats, just like a first claff air plane seat. Comes with pillow and blanket. Anyway we thought it was nice and was very comfortable. We thought there would be a pit stop now and then, WRONG! The bus didn't stop. Non stop all the way. Of course they stoped a few minutes to pick up passengers and 15 min. for filling gas but no restaurant stop. Then, around 9 PM one of bus drivers brought out some kind of drink (wisky ?), I think most of passenger must felt hungry by then. Don't worry, here comes a dinner at 11 PM with soft drinks, just like airline! The bus is equipped with water and coffee dispenser as well (toilet, too). Also they served us breakfast snacks. Why pay $ for the striking airline!?. Consider the Argentina overnight sleeper bus an alternative to airplane. It was so cheap (I'll you tell you the cost when I update the blog) that most backpackers or Argentinian use it to save one night of hotel stay. The 18 hrs was a bit too long but wasn't that bad as the seating was very comfortable and we can stretch to sleep OK. What an interesting experience, although not our choice!
